Single drill is a kind of fabric in 2/1 (knit/purl) twill weave pattern, with single-yarn warps and wefts and a cover with warp interlacing points of the adjacent warps arranged obliquely from its bottom right to left upper side.
Single drill's warps and wefts are always made of 24-42tex (24~14s), with an average warp density of 315-380nos./10cm (80-95 nos./ inch) and a weft density of 190-260nos./10cm (50-70 nos./inch), a warp tightness of 60%-80% and a weft tightness of 40%-55%, a warp-weft density ratio of 3:2, and a unit weight of 150-180g/m2.
It has evident twill lines on its front and less evident ones on its reverse side. It is soft, glossy, elastic, moderately breathable and flexible; and it feels more warm and pleasant in winter.
